The food we buy accounts for almost one quarter of the College’s measurable greenhouse emissions, with almost one-third of all food-related emissions coming from beef and lamb alone. The good news is that º£½ÇÂÒÂ× has one of the highest proportions of vegetarian and vegan meals sold in its buttery of any College. See below for some data on º£½ÇÂÒÂ×'s food emissions.

Although beef made up only 17% of purchases in 22-23 by weight, it accounted for 42% of the footprint. Similarly, lamb was 7% of the purchases by weight, and 12% by footprint.
